EXPORTED FRUIT.
CENTRAL FUND CONTRIBUTIONS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The central fund to which fruit exporters will contribute this year is expected to total about £8000 at the end of the export season. The renewal of the Government's guarantee upon exports, as was announced earlier in the week, has been made conditional this year upon fruitgrowers contributing to this fund at the rate of lid for each case of ,fruit exported, and the money will be applied to meeting all claims arising out of market and transportation losses. This fund is entirely separate from the Government guarantee, and will have nothing to do with moneys that might be paid out by the Government to ensure a standard price for fruit sold abroad.
