Flashes of blue liair.e leaped and played about on the electric wires at Kiwi Road, Birkdale,'under the constant friction caused by the blows of branches on nearby trees in the recent north-east gale; and the spectacle' caused such alarm that the residents have drawn the attention of the Birkenhead Borough Council to the danger of leaving the wires exposed to the force of the swinging branches.
