SINO-BRITISH PACT?
Rumour Causes Resentment In Japan. UNREST IN CHINA. TOKYO,' November 1. The existence of a secret agreement between Britain and China against Japan is widely reported. .Coupled with the alleged antagonistic attitude of the British delegates on the Council of the League of Nations, it is evoking growing public resentment, although it is discredited in Government circles.
The Japanese. Consuls are closing their residences arid leaving the Consulate in many places in China, in consequence of the increasing persecution of the Japanese.
