FATAL CURIOSITY.
YOUTH TASTES CYANIDE. DEATH AT ABANDONED MINE. (By Telegraph-— PI-css Association.) DUNEDEST, this day. The Balclutlia police advise that Leslie John Taylor, aged 19, whose parents live at Pareta, GO miles south from Dunedin, died yesterday afternoon after swallowing cyanide. With another youth he was on a fishing expedition, and they visited an abandoned gold raining claim. Here they found a bottle containing cyanide, which Taylor tasted from curiosity. He died almost at once.
