The kite contest organised by the Skyraider Kite Company, Limited, was held on the top of Mount Eden on Saturday afternoon, and proved a very ' popular attraction for young and old ' alike. ' There were about 500 parents and children present. The contests proved ■to be very keen. The judges. Messrs. Hunt and Taylor, had a caffieult task in selecting the winners of the A-arioue events. Prizewinners are advertised jn this evening's "Star." j Amber, which contains electricity, is stated by one expert to have a curative effect oii certain diseases and to make the skin of anyone wearing it whiter and more transparent.
