TENNIS.
DEVONPORT CLUB
There 1 was an attendance of, over 100 at the official opening of the Devonport Tennis Club on Saturday afternoon. On behalf of the president. Dr. F. O. Pope welcomed the players and visitors. The club possessed six splendid courts and enjoyed a membership of 88. The Mayor of Devonijort, Mr. H. F. \V. Meikle. in declariug the flub open, congratulated the members upon the very charming appearance of the courts and on the fact that the club was free of debt. A tournament was held, which was won Dy Miss 0. Berry, with the possible of 15 wins, and Mr. P. Gourley, with 12 wins.
