NEW GOLF RULING.
IRON CLUBS TO BE SMOOTH. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 15. St. Andrews Golf Committee ruled that after .January 1 in the new year, faces of iron golf clubs shall be smooth, except that they may have shallow lines and dot markings. All rough or raised edges must be removed and no preparation causing back epin shall be applied to the club heads.
