BRADFORD TOPS FAIRLY FIRM. BUT LITTLE BUSINESS. (Received 12.30 p.m.) BRADFORD, October 15. At Bradford the market is fairly firm, with little business. Everybody is awaiting the election results. To-day's quotations compare ae follows with those previously cabled: —

Bran and pollard. £. Potatoes, Tasmanian, £9 to £11; Victorian, £7 10/. Onions, Victorian, to £6. Oats, white and Algerian, 2/6. Maize, 3/2. (Received 12.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having received the following cablegram from their London principals, Messrs. , Samuel Page and Son, dated 15th instant: — \ Butter.—The market is very slow. New Zealand, finest salted, 114/ to 118/; Danish, 126/ to 128/; Australian, finest unsalted, 112/ to 114/; finest ealted, 110/ to 113/; g.a.q., 102/ to 106/. Cheese.—The market is very slow. New Zealand, white 66/ to 68/, coloured 69/ to 70/; Canadian, white 68/ to 69// coloured 69/ to 70/, c:i.f. 56/ to 57/. Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co. have received the following cable from their London principals, Messrs. Nathan and Trengrouse, dated London, October 15:— Butter: Finest, 119/ per cwt; first, 114/. Cheese: New Zealand, white and coloured, 67/ per cwt. No demand.
PRICES AT GLASGOW. Messrs. Norden and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their principals, Messrs. R. and- W. Davidson, Ltd., London and / Glasgow, under date 15th inst.: — Butter.—Market quiet, but showing some signs of improvement. 114/ to 118/ cwt,.equivalent to 12.04 d lb, f.0.b., Auckland; 120/ (except.), equivalent to 12.45 d lb, f.0.b., Auckland. Cheese.—Market slow. White and coloured cheese. 67/ to 68/ cwt., equivalent to 6.45 d lb, f.0.b., Auckland. - —• -
WHEAT CARGOES, ETC. HIGHER PRICES CHECK BUSINESS. (Received 12.30 p.m.). . LONDON", October 15. Wheat cargoes are inactive but steady. Parcels are quiet, and declined 3d. Futures: —London: December, 21/9 per quarter; February, Liverpool: October, 4/6% per cental; December, 4/9; March, 4/11%; May, 5/1%. Spot trade is inactive, the high • prices asked checking business. Australian, ex ship, 27/ per quarter. Flour is firmly held. Australian, ex store, 18/7 to 19/. Oats are strong, and 6d to 1/ dearer. Peas and beans are steadily held. BEET SUGAR. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 15. Beet sugar is quoted for November delivei-y at 6/5 per cwt. PRICE OF SILVER. RUGBY, October 15. Silver is quoted at 17d an oz for spot and YlVid forward.
