LICENSE ENDORSED.
INTOXICATED VAN DRIVER. Arrested last night for being in a state of intoxication while in charge a motor van in College Hill, George Leslie Morris appeared at the Police Court to-day and pleaded guilty. Chief Detective Hammond said Morris ■was found driving his car about 6.35 last evening. He; was in a state of intoxication, but not very bad. He was a decent fellow, and had" never been in trouble previously. Mr. K. Aekins, who represented accused, said Morris yesterday received word of a job in the country that would last him about 18 months. Foolishly, lie celebrated the good news, and had too much to drink. Morris would a»ree to take out a prohibition order.
"It's either that or have his license cancelled," said Mr. Hunt, wlio fined him £10 and endorsed his license.
