'"News has been received in Sydney that Mrs. Maud Sherwood lias been specially honoured by being asked to have a "personal exhibit,' i.e.; a whole room to herself at the Colonial Exhibition in Rome. As Miss Maud Kimball she was well known in Wellington, where she was an art teacher and studied under t e late James M. Nairn. She sent m Icompositions and pictures of Tunis, some very large, and they will be hung at the Exhibition in September, October, and November. The organisers were so struck with, the exhibit', that they ,have ..asked her to do another room at the Mai me Art Exhibition early next year, an honour which is given to very fewforeigners.
