COMBINED TEAM SELECTED.
At -a meeting held after the big fixture 011 Saturdav, the council of the New Zealand League decided to pit a combined Marist-Devonport thirteen against Eastern Suburbs. The selectors chose the following provisional side : — Backs. —Campbell (Marist), L. Scott, A. \y. Seagal- (Devonport), P. Median (Marist), R. W. Smith (Devonport), H. Brisbane, Hassan (Marist). Forwards.—ll. Carter, Campbell (Marist), Simpson, Ruby, Casey (Devonport), Clark (Marist). Reserves. —Bachelor, Young (Marist), E. Scott (Devonport). Praetice will be held at Carlaw Park tomorrow and Thursday evenings. Eastern Suburbs left for 'Rotorua on ■Sunday, and will play South Auckland at Steele Park, Hamilton, oil Wednesday.
