VANCOUVER'S GROWTH.

VANCOUVER, August 28,
With an official population of 245,000 —by no means erring onjthe liberal side, say civic authorities —Vancouver through the recent Dominion census has jumped, into the position of the third greatest city in the Dominion, passing Winnipeg to that position. The coast metropolis shows an increase in population of 5 50 per cent in ten years. Winnipeg shows a population of 217,000.
