Mr. J. A. Haggitt, a member of the Dunedin Stock Exchange, was present at the first call of the Auckland Exchange to-day.
Mr. G. E. Cox, F. 1.0.. who has been studying optometry in London for three years, returned to Wellington by the Ulimaroa to-dav.
Mr. H. S. Scott, of Nairobi, director of education for Kenya Colony and formerly director of education for the Transvaal, is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. •Scott, who is accompanied by his wife, will sail for London by the Remuera to-morrow.
