AUSTIN CAR CLUB.
RUN TO COROMANDEL.
The • Coromandel Chamber of Commerce .has. sent an invitation to the Austin Car Club to spend a week-end at Coromandel as the guests of the Chamber of Commerce.
Arrangements have been made for suitable parking and camping grounds, and a Sunday launch trip is suggested down the coast, where fishing is famous. The club hopes to make the journey during the. summer, and although it is only four hours irom Auckland, and the roads are in good condition, it is off the beaten track, and this adds to the interest of such' a trip. The club members think that Christmas week would not suit the majority of members as they usually make other arrangements for the holidays. About February would appear to be the most suitable time.
On a recent Saturday afternoon tlie club members ran a very successful children's outing. The names of the children were supplied by the Auckland group of Toe H. The children had a most enjoyable afternoon, which included a motor run and a programme of pictures at'a city theatre. More of these outings will be arranged during the' summer months.
