OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The Otahuhu Borough Council met last evening, Mr. J. J. Graham. deputy-May » presiding. It was explained that: '. 12 Mayor, Mr. H. T. Clements, and Mr. K. W. V. Wood, town clerk, had gone .0 Wellington on borough business. Mr. F. W. Grey officiated as town cleric. ■ Kindergarten.—lt was decided to inform the Otahuhu Kindergarten Committee trr.it the council does not think it neqegs.irv to fumigate the building in Princes Str. r = , - , t to be used in future as a kindergarten. Revaluation .—A reply was received frna the Valuer-General to the effect thst arrangements are being made to rev 1 hie. the borough. This request was made >:y tlio council two years ago. The instvaluation was made in 1923. Mangere Crossing—At a previous mociiug the council decided to draw the Midway Department's attention to *.he dangerous nature of this crossing and request the construction of an overbad bridge. The assistant. district engineer reported that in vif.v of the provision of automatic waving devices at the crossing and the present need for economy it was not intended to incur any expenditure ac the present time.
