STOLEN MOTOR CAR.

REMANDED FOR ONE WEEK,
Arrested by Detective Packman, a labourer, John Leggatt Meek, aged IS, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, g.M, in the Police Court this morning charged with unlawfully converting a motor car, valued at £180. the property of Martin Peter Lynch, to his own use. Accused pleaded guilty. Detective Sergeant Kelly's application ■for a week's remand was granted. Mr. Kelly said the car had been smashed up, and the damage had to be com' puted. There was also the question of Meek being intoxicated on the day before he was arrested by Detective Packman and allegedly careering round the Henderson district in the car.
