BALCLUTHA, this day.
Basil G. Knox, aged 20, a labourer, was charged to-day with abducting a girl, aged 16 years and seven months.
The police stated that accused, after a ball, at which he gave the girl drinks of lemon squash adulterated %vith wine, obtained a ear and took the girl to the Henley Hotel, where he registered as a
-mu U w jciit-eiiceu to 10 niottciia in a. Borstal institution, and the magistrate instructed the police to draw the Licensing Committee's attention to the hotel licensee's action.
