Afc the -weekly meeting of the management committee of the Auckland Rugby Union last night, Mr': ;H. Frost presiding, Mr. A. Tilly", was appointed manager of the Auckland team in their, match against Thames .at. .Eden Park on. Saturday. The emergency, committee will decide the manager for the trip to Helensville, where Auckland; B;-meets the Kaipara representative team.'
Mr. G. Nicholson, sole selector for the union, stated that his reason for not including any Grammar players in the representative teams for Saturday was that he wanted the Grammar seniors to play their match at Waihi with full strength.- ■
