PRESENTATION.

In the Otahuhu Primary School yesterday afternoon, presentations wern made" to Miss M. Muir, and Mr. T. H. Sissons. formerly members of the staff. Miss Muir is now in charge of Karaka School, and Mr. Sissons is senior aseistant at the Junior High School. Mr. H. Murdoch, headmaster, paid a glowing tribute to the sterling worth of Miss Muir and Mr. Sissons, and to the high standard of merit achieved by their pupils. Mr. C. R. Petrie, chairman of the committee, presented Miss Muir with a handbag and gold-mounted fountain pen, on behalf of the parents, a volume of J. M. Barrie's plays from the staff, and a volume of John Galsworthy's plays from the committee, and to Mr. Sissons a tobacco pouch from the committee and a volume of modern English plays from the staff. A presentation was also made to Mr. J. Barclay and Mrs. Barclay, who, after over eight years as caretaker, had to resign for health reasons.
