RATS FOR N.Z.
SPECIALIST'S EXPERIMENTS. SYDNEY, August 17. The Hobson's Tay, which reached Sydney to-day, had on board five white rats, which are en route to New Zealand. The rats are being brought out for experimental research work by Dr. I, Cunningham, a plant research specialist, attached to the Department of Agriculture at Palmerston North. Four other rats died from heat in the Red Sea.
