ORANGES FROM ADELAIDE SYDNEY FRUIT TO-DAY. EGGS DOWN A PENNY. There have been few changes in values at the auction marts since last report. Apple prices remain low and most other local fruits are slow of sale. A fair sized consignment of oranges came to hand yesterday from South Australia, the quality being excellent. Low rates for ripe bananas have stimulated the demand and values have firmed slightly. A shipment of citrus fruit arrived by the Ulimaroa, some of which was eold to-day. Mandarins opened up in mixed condition. Good quality realised from 6/6 to 7/6 per case; poorest sorts, 2/4 to 2/6. Pines realised from 15/ to 18/6. Bananas: Ripe, repacks, up to 21/; seconds and mediums, 10/ to W. Vegetables. The market is heavily supplied with potatoes and onions. Australian onions have eased in price. Small quantities of hothouse cucumbers are offering and bring good prices. Cauliflowers are in short supply, but celery and cabbages are plentiful.
