MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.
Okarito Dredging (South Westland). — No return is being published for tho week. The dredge was stopped for practically the whole week while a section of the main pipe line was dismantled and relaid nearer the dredge paddock. During the stoppage certain minor repairs were carried out to the winches. The company's engineer has advised that the dredge started again on Monday morning.
King Solomon Deep Lead.—The mine manager of King Solomon Deep Lead, Ltd. (Gore), reports that the wash-up for the past week totalled 16oz 2dwt.
Hauraki Mines.—The half-yearly report of the directors of Hauraki Mines Consolidated, Limited, states that the company's property continued to be under protection. The directors still had confidence in it as they considered it to be valuable, and were awaiting a revival of interest in the mining industry, with a view to taking; advantage of any improvement which might occur. In the meantime tributes were being let as occasion arose. The company's liabilities had been still further reduced, and all current expenditure had been reduced to a minimum.
