The committee of the Canterbury Jockey Club has settled the conditions for the New Zealand Cup, to be run in. November. The stake will be lOOOsovs—a cup valued at SOsovs with OSOsovs in cash, the second horse to receive 200sovs, and the third horse lOOsovs from the stake. The condition providing for a maximum weight of 9.6, which has been included for several years, has been deleted. There will be no restriction this year on the weight with which the handieapper may start the handicap. No horse's weight may be increased beyond weight-for-age by any rehandicap.
