TEAM TO PLAY NORTHLAND,

TAUPIRI, Tuesday.
At a special meeting of the uoutfi Auckland Rugby League, held last evening at Tauplri, the following team was selected to play against Northland at Carlaw Park on Saturday, August 22 : — Full-back, G. Raynor (Huntly); threequarters, J. Whorskey (Huntly), G. Hall (Ngaruawahia), G. Tittleton (Tnupiri) ; five-eighths, D. Whorskey (Huntly), W. Tittleton (Ngaruawahia) ; half, E. F. Abbott (Ngaruawahia) ; forwards, J. Meiizies (Ngaruawahia), StepUenson (Huntly), Trauvcttoß (Huntly), A. Payne (Ngaruawahia), Tiinms (Huntly), J. J i> nes (Iluiitly) ; reserves, B. Juckwnys (Tau-i nlri), M. Scott (Iluntly). J. Jones will be captain of the team, anrt Mr Taylor, of Hamilton, the manager. The team will travel to Auckland by train on Saturday morning, returning on bunday evening. , , The South Auckland Rugby League has decided to play a match against the Australian champion team ■'Kaste.-n Suburbs) nt Steele Park, Hamilton, the date being October 14. Another representative League match is to be played on the same ground before the season closes. Hamilton League registered a new club, which will include three old League nieinbers—Teddy Everest, R. Skeat and blip Griffiths. .. Ken Peckham's reinstatement to the Iluntly team was approved. On Saturday next the senior competition of the South Auckland Rugby League will be practically decided, when Taupirl meets Ngaruawahia at Ngaruawahia, these two teams being level with only two games to Waiterimu was declared the winner of the junior competition.
