FALL FROM HIGH CLIFF.
THAMES GUMDIGGER'S DEATH. EVIDENCE AT INQUEST. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. An inquest into the death of Jo/e Izotich, a Dalmatian gumdigger, who was found dead in the bush at the back of Thames on Sunday, was held before a jury and Mr. J. Glessing, J.P. Medical evidence showed that the gunidigger had broken his spine and j fractured his pelvis, besides sustaining other wounds, which probably included a fractured skull, evidently caused by a fall from a great height. Izotich left his father's whare at Dancing Camp at 11 a.m. on Saturday to search for gum, and. as he did not return a search party was organised, the searchers finding the body next day at the foot of a cliff about 200 ft high, the man evidently having fallen over. The bodv was lying face downward, with the head on a- rock, and a spade underneath him. A verdict was returned in accordance with the medical evidence, the cause of death being stated to have been an accidental fall. '
