"TOO MANY SECRETS."
NEW ZEALAND'S LOANS. MORE CANDOUR ADVOCATED. WELLINGTON, this day. The lack of information given by the Government in New Zealand in connection with the recent London loan prospectus was deprecated by Mr. A. Harris (Reform, Waitemata) in the House yesterday. Mr. Harris contended that the Government should have been more frank -\vith the people. There had been too many Cabinet secrets over loan transactions in the past. The first information concerning the recent loan had come from London by mail, and had been published a few' days ago. It was stated in the prospectus that Public Works expenditure had been tapered off by 40 per cent, but the public had not been told anything about that.
