RIFLE SHOOTING.
AUCKLAND MINIATURE CLUB. On Wednesday evening the Devonport Club sent a team of eight men to try conclusions with the Auckland Club, but suffered defeat by a margin of IS points. The conditions were seven shots each, highest possible score 70. and the individual scores were as follow :— Auckland. — Somnierville 70. Davies 69, Pieterson 6S. Simmonds OS. Pring 66. Kelly 66. Parkinson 65. Hazard 64: total, 536. Devonport.—Judkins 67, Vail 67. Eagles 65, Teppett 65. Buchanan 65, Jackson 64, Woodall 63. Healy 62: total. 51S. PAEROA MINIATURE CLUB. The Paeroa Miniature Rifle Club had another good attendance of members on the rifle range in the local drill hall last night, when the second match was fired. There was some very good shooting witnessed. practically all the members finishing with good scores. The top score was again made by R. I. Wells with 96, and four other members finished with 95. Ten shots and one optional sighter were fired, making the possible 100. Following are the scores: — R. I. Wells 96, E. Turton. sen, 95, A. Simmonds 95. M. Charlesworth 95, A. E. Pearson 95, H. A.
