NOMINATION OF OFFICERS.
The following have been nominated for vacancies on the executive of the Franklin Racing Club:—President, Sir. Dynes Fulton; vice-president, Mr. A. H. Tapper; executive committee (12 required), Messrs. E. F. Muir, R. W. Bilkey, F. J. Morrow, J. Kennelly, C. E. Walter, G. T. Proude, W. J. Taylor, T. Hancock, E. H. Keating, R. Fulton, T. E. Keven and D. Hayes, Messrs. A. C. Gill and H. Bai'naby, retiring members, did not seek re-election owing to indifferent health.ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS. WAGER. —Desert Gold contested two handicap races at Ellerslie and was beaten in both. Carrying 10.4 she ran third to Multiply (7.10), -and Cynic (7.7) in the A.R.C. Handicap in January, 1918, and the following April with 9.13 was unplaced in the Easter Handicap, won by Uncle Ned. (8.1), with Rebekah (6.11) second, and Spanner (7.7) third.
