POLICE CHASE MOTOR CAR.
FALSE PRETENCES CHARGE. REMAND TO AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, Wednesday. Acting on a report that a motor car advertised in Auckland as missing had passed through Te Awamutu, Constable Shaw, of Kihikihi, motored out toward Arapuni, overtook a car, and arrested the driver. Subsequently; Thomas Kelly was charged with obtaining an Oakland motor car at Auckland by false pretences. On the application of Detective White he was remanded to appear at Auckland on July' 22. When arrested accused was accompanied by his wife and two children The wife was charged with vagrancy, and was also remanded to appear at Auckland on July 22.
