POVERTY BAY VALUES. (By Telegraph.— Special to " Star.') GISBOENE, this day. At the Gisborne sale there was a large entry of fat sheep and a good demand for quality ewes, but ordinary sorts were easy. Best, 9/8 to 10/4; others, 7/1 to 9/6; prime two-tooths 11/6; lambs, 6/6 to 9/6; second grade ewes, 5/6 to 6/5. In store sheep there was a small ordinary' entry, with values unchanged. Good breeding ewes, 6/10 to 8/5; empty ewes, two-tooths, 6/3; good mouths and condition, 6/; fair, 3/3; hoggets, fat forward Downs, 7/; good, woolly, 5/5 to 6/10; fairly good, 4/9 to 5/. Wethers: Only a few offering. Good stores, 8/10; small and good condition, 5/10. ' PRICES AT FEILDING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) FEILDING, Friday. Heavy yardings came forward at the stock 6ale to-day. Values for fat lambs declined 2/ a head, but prices for wethers advanced 2/. Ewes sold at late prices. The dairy cattle market was dull and the beef market was very quiet. Fe.t lambs realised up to 17/; fat ewes, to 15/6; fat wethers, 18/; store five-year ewes, running with Southdown rams, to 23/1; ewe lambs, 8/4; ewe hoggets, 15/; wether lambs, to 10/8; four-tooth wethers, 12/. Dairy heifers, springing, to £6 5/; springing cows, to £7 15/; heifers in milk, £6 15/; fat cows, to £4 2/6.
