OBITUARY.

MRS. W. H. NEALE. An old colonist, Mrs. W. H. Neale, died on June 21 at her home, Mount Pleasant, Mount Eden. She was born in Scotland 78 years ago, and arrived in Dunedin with her parents in the early 'sixties. Her late husband, Mr. W. H. Neale, came to Auckland us a boy with his parents in 1843. The family came from Dunedin to Auckland in the 'eighties and lived in Ponsonby for many years. Mrs. Neale was an active worker in connection with St. John's Methodist Church. She is survived by the following children: — Mrs. W. Maxwell, of Mount Albert; Mrs. J. Hemmiug, of East Tamaki; Mrs. F. Alpe, of Epsom; Miss A. Ncale, of Auckland; Mr. W. H. Neale, of East Tamaki; Mi-. A. S. Neale, of Auckland; and the Rev. L. B. Neale, of Dunedin.

MR. WILLIAM HENDERSON. A resident of the Auckland district for the past 30 years, Mr. William Henderson, died at his home, Wallace Street, Papatoetoc, on June 20, aged 7G years. He arrived at Auckland by the Zealandia. He was for about 20 years employed at Donaghy's rope works in Stanley Street, and for a part of that time used to go to work from Papatoetoe. Mrs. Henderson survives her husband. There are three sons and one daughter.

MR. W. F. SLIGO. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. Mr. William Finlay Sligo, a prominent member of the Dunedin Stock Exchange and a man well known in mining circlee, is dead. He was born at Ballarat, Victoria, in 1859, and came to New Zealand at the age of 27. He was one of the party that opened and developed the Macetown reefs. He was a member of the Otago Bowling Club. One son, Dr. Sligo, is on the Christchurch Hospital staff. Reference was made at the noon call of the Stock Exchange to the death of Mr. W. J. Sligo, a well-known broker, of Dunedin. The chairman, Mr. John Frater, said they all highly esteemed Mr. Sligo, who was a man of sound judgment and most likeable personality. | He probably was one of the best-known sharebrokers in the Dominion. Members stood in silence to pass a vote oi condolence with the bereaved relatives.
