BOXING TO-NIGHT.
COOK-O'ATALLEY CONTEST. George Cook and Jack O'Malley both report themselves in tip-top ■'■Condition for their bout at the Town Hallto-niglit when the Auckland public will .see the fight for which it has waited/patiently for over a fortnight. The training operations of the two men have been watched by critics and there ■is sonic diversity of opinion regarding which will be the winner. Cook is fitter than for any fight since his return to .the Antipodes, while O'Malley is also fit and confident. Which ever way the decision goes a great fight is confidently expected and according to the talk in 'sporting circles to-day the chances are , about evenly divided. The amateur supporting programme will include a bout between '13runo, the present flyweight champion of the Dominion, and Pcarcey, ex-Nqw Zealand champion, as well as , a contest between the heavy-weights, Painter and Ho'a-rr - .
