REPLY TO VATICAN. " Illicit Interference" of the Holy See. WEAPONS AGAINST THE STATE. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 11 a.m.) ROME, June 24. The Government's official reply to the_ Vatican repeats its protest against "the illicit interference of the Holy See in the international' affairs of Italy." The Note laments that the Holy See insists by speeches, telegrams and appeals to public opinion abroad upon carrying these events outside the proper place. The reply adds that greater regard should be shown for the duties imposed on the Holy See, whose privileges must not be converted into weapons against the State. '7
