MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING.
DEVONPORT CLUB'S MATCH. This week the Devonport Miniature Rifle Club held its second shoot for a trophy presented by the B.S.A. company, when some thirty members fired during the evening. The trophy goes to the marksman with the highest aggregate (including handicap), over three nights' shooting. A new member, L. Brookes, won the Tisdall button with an excellent score of 60. Scores for the trophy are as follow (highest possible score 70) :—Brookes, 60—10—70 ; Healy, 05—7 —70 ; Vickers. 64 —7 —70 ; E. Buchanan, 62 —B—7o ; J. Buchanan, 50—11—70; Judkins, 69—0—69; Stokes, 66—3 —69 ; Moore, 07—12 —69 ; Cox, 65—2—67 ; Rutledge, 64—3—67; Wallwork, 59—5—67; Buckler, 51—16—67; McDougall, 60—6—66 ; Townsend, sS—B — 06 ; Power, 58—8—66 ; Howe, 55—11—66 ; Palmer, 46—20—66 ; Jackson, 63—2—65 ; C. Eagles, 60—5—65; Vail, 60—5—65; R. Eagles, 50—12—62 ; Ham, 42—20—62; Teppett, 56—-5-—6 l; Griffith, 55—5—60 ; Gentils, 51—8—59 ; Dowell, 41 —14—58. Several .other members also put in some useful practice. Next week it is hoped to fire a match with the Auckland Miniature Rifle Club.
