PERPETUAL TRUSTEES. STILL PAYS 15 PER CENT. A particularly successful and wellmanaged institution is the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Co., of New Zealand, which has its headquarters in Dunedin, and a branch in Christchurch. The company is now in its forty-seventh year, and, operating with a paid capital of £22,500, administers estates and various trusts to a value of over £6,250,000. For the year ended April 30 last, net profits totalled £6559, and the usual dividend of 15 per cent per annum, which has been paid regularly during the past decade, was agreed to. Reserves total £27.226. WILLIAMS AND KETTLE, LTD. The 40th annual report of Williams and Kettle, Limited, stock and station agents and general merchants, of Napier, states that after providing for management expenses, bad and doubtful debts, depreciation, etc., and taking. into account the talance of £14,431 brought forward from last year, there remained a credit balance of £3634. which the directors recommended should be carried forward. The directors of Kirkcaldie and Stains, Limited, Wellington, will make a statement to shareholders shortly respecting negotiations that have been proceeding for some time for the acquisition of a controlling interest in their company by a large London investment" trust.
