LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

SENIOR CLUB AFFAIRS,

The Auckland Rugby League met last evening,_ Mr. George Rhodes presiding. A senior club delegation interviewed the management with regard to some method of submitting cluib requirements to the members of the committee elected by clubs, which under the new control at present felt somewhat isolated and at a disadvantage.

The management decided that it wae prepared to convene a monthly meeting of senior club delegates to deal with any representations from the clubs.

iH. Carter, a member of the Marist Old Boye team ordered off on Saturday, appeared and explained the incident. It was decided that the ordering off was sufficient punishment in view' of the referee's report. A request from the mid-week committee seeking affiliation for players under the junior insurance scheme, was referred to the insurance committee.

In reply to a further inquiry it was decided to advise the Referees' Association that iahe ibell went at Carlaw Park when time was up and the referee was to stop the Raime according to the rules. The chairman reported upon negotiations entered into by a special committee of the League with the Mangere Club. Further representations are to be made to Ellerslie-Otahuhu United. The matter was 'held over for a week.

The recommendation of the junior management to impose a fine of V. Per player on .teams challenging the weights of playere and not supporting the challenge with protests, Avas adopted.
