MAIL ARRANGEMENTS.
KING'S BIRTHDAY HOLIDAY. Special arrangements have been made by the Post and Telegraph Department for Wednesday, June 3, the anniversary of the birth of His Majesty the King. To-morrow, June 2, there will be a counter delivery of correspondence, including registered, from the postmen's branch, first floor, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. On Wednesday mails usually dispatched before 7.15 a.m. will close at 4 a.m., and those after 7.15 a.m. at the latter hour, with the exception that mails for Southern offices for dispatch by the Limited and Main Trunk expresses will close at 5.10 p.m. Late fee letters for Southern offices may be posted at the Chief Post Office up to 6.30 p.m., and at the railway station up to ten minutes before the advertised times of departure of the express trains. The midnight clearance of street letter boxes will be made as usual. There will be no delivery by postmen on Wednesday. The chief telegraph office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to midnight on Wednesday.
