MANAGEMENT MEETING.

ELLERSLIE-MAXGERE POSITION.

The Auckland Rugby League met last evening, Mr. George Rhodes presiding.

Ellerslie-Otahuhu United Club's letter stated that it saw no reason to alter its decision that Mangere should play as a junior team under its jurisdiction. The position could be reviewed at the end of the season.

Opinion was expressed that the Mangere players were quite willing to play as the League suggested. Vr. J. Rukutai suggested that Mangere be granted permission to retain their identity for twelve months, subject to all transfers being through the Ellerslie-Otahuhu United Club.

With Ellerslie-Otahuhu Club's permission, said the chairman, he did not think there was any objection to Mangere playing as the Mangere section of the amalgamated club, but it waa the duty of the League to uphold Ellerslie-Ota-huhu United Club. In the meantime, he thought moral suasion : should be used by members and the. position would right itself. The letter was upheld, Mangere players to be advised that they were members of the amalgamated club. A special meeting is to be held at the park office on Saturday afternoon to decide the date of the replay of the Maristllichmond match, if the appeal of Richmond is dismissed.

The suspension of E. Moore (Ponsonby) was uplifted and a severe warning administered. Moore, now coaching, said he did not intend to play again.
