SOVIET BUTTER.

Only Small Proportion of Britain's Imports. MUCH USED IN BLENDING. LONDON, May 20. In answer to criticism of the Soviet's dumping of butter, Mr. T. Volic, chairman of Selosoyns, Ltd., a Russian trading concern, declares that the total importation in 1930 was only 2.42 per cent, or 8272 tons, of the United Kingdom's imports. The first four months of 1931 saw only 84 tons imported. In the House of Commons, Mr. W. Graham, President of the Board of Trade, said the great hulk of Russian butter imported into Britain was blended with other butter, and had not a separate retail price.
