TRADING COUPONS.
ISSUE AND REDEMPTION. INDEFINITE CONTINUANCE. .LEGISLATION NEXT SESSION. • (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. "The issue and redemption of trading coupons can be continued indefinitely under the present law, except in regard to those, such as Universal coupons, which come within the scope of the Trading Stamps Act, 1908," said the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle this morning. "It is the present intention of the Government," added the Minister, "to consider dealing with the general coupon question by legislation during the coming session of Parliament. An assur-
ance has been given by me that if and when any action is taken, adequate time will be provided in the amending bill for merchants and others concerned to make whatever arrangements is necessary regarding the purchase of goods, with or without coupons, and in respect of the disposal and redemption of the same."
