BUDGET HOPES.
BALANCE EXPECTED. (Received 1 p.m.) DUBLIN, May 6. Mr. Ernest Blythe, Minister, of Finance, in introducing the Budget, said he expected the accounts to balance for the third year in succession. The estimated expenditure wag £25,253,000. Taxation proposals included 4d per gallon on petrol, increases of 2d per foot on souiid films, and jd per lb on the sugar duty, and the abolition of the tax on racecourse betting.
