BURMA REBELS.
BRITISHERS KILLED. Many Deaths in Fighting Near Prome. / POLICE RETALIATE. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph-Copyright) (Received 11.30 a.m.) . DELHI, May 6. A large party of Burma rebels attacked a detachment of police near Prome, and it is feared the district superintendent of police, Mr. Austin and several officers and men were killed. Survivors have reached police headquarters and state that they were surrounded and had no time to pick up their arms. ' . A Burman officer, hearing the news, set out with a large party of polite and encountered 60 rebels, of whom seven were killed and many wounded.
