RETURNED SOLDIERS AND ANZAC DAY.
In a recent issue of your paper appears a statement to tlie effect that a majority _✓ of ex-soldiers prefer Anzac Day in its present form. I am constantly moving all over the Dominion and come into contact with my old "Digger cobbers" daily, and I &ay emphatically that an overwhelming majority of us do not favour the observance of Anzac Day in the form now followed. Here we have had a meeting of a little over one hundred men (not one per centum even of those concerned in the making of the day) quoted as an authority on the matter. And even under the eye of officials these one hundred men were not unanimous. A day on lines suggested by the Rev. Mr. Vickerv would be infinitely'better. MAIN" BODY.
