USE OF INSTRUMENT.
VERDICT OF GUILTY.
A verdict' of guilty was returned by the jury in the trial of Alfred Theodore" Douglas Woodley, a waterside worker, 4(s.years of age (Mr. Singer), who was charged with the illegal use of an instrument on a girl 20 years of age. His Honor said that, although the evidence of the girl might be that of an accomplice in the crime, her statements were confirmed by those of her father, and by a statement which the accused made to the police. The jury's verdict was returned after half an hour's retirement. Woodley was remanded until Wednesday next "for sentence.
