SHARP MOVEMENTS EXPERIENCED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, this day. A prolonged earthquake occurred at Opotiki about 2.25 this morning. The movements were short and sharp, and several minor 'quakes were felt for some time afterwards. WHAKATANE, this day. A sharp earthquake was felt in Whakatane about 2.25 a.m.
I*ATER SHOCKS AT RAETIHI. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) RAETIHI, this day. Sharp and prolonged shocks were felt throughout the district about 5.25 this morning.
