CITY MAYORALTY.
MR. MASON'S CAMPAIGN.
Prince Edward Theatre was crowded out last evening when Mr. H. G. R. Mason, M.P., candidate for the City Mayoralty, addressed a large gathering. A large overflow meeting outside was addressed by Labour candidates for the council. Mr. Mason, speaking of economy efforts, referred to street lighting and the purchase of animals for the Zoo as being iields in which economy could give better results than in that of wage reduction. He believed that an attempt should be made to secure a reduction in sinking fund payments, as , the relief thus afforded. might prove to be substantial.
