AUCKLAND CLUB
Glorious weather favoured the Auckland Cycle Club for the opening of their road season on Saturday. The race was for the club captain cup donated by S. Hayes, over a distance of 16 miles, the riders being required to do 3J laps of the course. Eighteen riders faced the starter. The result was as follows: — K. Rae, 6Jm 1 F. Lowndes, 71m ................... 2 W. Mathieson, 2m 3 H. Clay, 2m 4 Fastest time was recorded by Jack Wade (scr), who did the distance in 45.30.
