LONDON, April 23.
The leader of the British Arctic air route expedition, in a copyright message, telegraphs that the weather is preventing the party, which was dispatched last month to relieve the central station of the icecap, from locatittg it.
In consequence, considerable anJlety k felt for the safety of Mr. August in Courtauld, who volunteered to man the station alone during the winter.
A stronger relief party under Mr. Watkins hopes to reach the icecap before the end of April.
The expedition which is using Sir Ernest Shackleton's ship Quest to explore the ■ice-cap of Greenland, wintered in a newly discovered fjord at Angmagsalik. A powerful wireless station was erected, and the requisite accommodation built.
