What mail in history represents a well-known bird'! —Drake. Why is the sun like a well-made cake? —Because it is light when it rises. What patches have no stitches in them ? —Cabbage patches. Which is the most dangerous time of the year?— When all the buds are shooting and the bulrushes out. Why is a porcupine unpopular?— Because he has ho many unpleasant points about him. What is that which never asks a question, but requires many answers ?—A door bell. What singer never has a col J?—A kettle. What kind of gaiters will nobody •wear ? —Alligators. What tree can you hold above your head? —A palm. Why is a crow like an apple ?—Because it has a caw (core) What is it you can feel and yet not touch?— The sun. Why is a candle-maker a very bad man?— Because all his works are wicked and his wicked works always come to light.
