It lias now been definitely decided to hold an athletic carnival on the King's Birthday and prize money has been allotted to the extent of £200. Dissatisfaction with the administration of the Wanganui-Taranaki Amateur Athletic Outre, particularly In the failure to ensure adequate representation at the national (liampionfthipß, is expressed by the Hawera <'Ju!> in a circular to contemporary clubs at .N"\v Plymouth, Stratford, Eltham, Opnnakc and J'atea. The circular proposes that the clnbs ifrom the centre and apply to the N««r Zealand Council for affiliation as a wparaU ecntre, to be named tlw Taranald Centre, with the Hume boundaries as the province.
